SMS terms

Effective October 14, 2026

These terms cover the Northbound text messaging program. Northbound is software from Capture Lab Inc. that a manufacturer’s or distributor’s freight team uses to coordinate its shipments, with an AI assistant named Laurie. “We” means Capture Lab Inc.

What the program is

Texting Northbound is a two-way conversation with Laurie, the freight team’s assistant. Two kinds of people text with her:

  • The shipper's own freight team, who ask Laurie about their shipments (where a truck is, what is running late, what needs their decision) and get her answer by text.
  • The shipper's carriers' dispatchers and drivers and its customers' receiving staff, who ask Laurie about shipments they are part of (appointment times, reference numbers, dock hours) and answer her questions about them (availability, arrival times, delivery).

Every message is about a specific business shipment. There is no marketing and no promotions.

Message frequency and cost

  • Message frequency varies with your shipments and with how often you text Laurie.
  • Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and getting help

  • Reply STOP to stop receiving texts. UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT and CANCEL work too. You will get one message confirming it, and no further texts until you opt in again.
  • Reply START to receive texts again.
  • Reply HELP for help, or email support@capture-lab.com.

Wireless carriers

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device.

Privacy

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. How we handle data is described in our privacy policy.
